So my 9 yrs of waiting ended in an etopic pregnancy. I was very lucky they did not remove my only tube but unfortunately and eventually it was done via an injection. I will now be monitored over the next few weeks to see if the pregnancy has dissolved if not then I will have surgery to have that and my tube removed.

So sorry you’re going through this! I got the shot about a month ago and am still following my levels with weekly blood draws. I hope everything goes smoothly for you and the shot works

igivemyhearttoyou : So sorry to hear that. It’s honestly one of the worst feelings ever. 🙁 I just experienced my first pregnancy ending as an Ectopic as well – it’s heartbreaking especially when you’ve tried for a long time. My EP was also treated with the MTX injection, and because my hCG were already so low to begin with they were back down to 0 within a week. The best advice I can give is to let yourself grieve and know that it’s ok to be unhappy and upset. Make sure you’re diligent about your follow up visits for bloodwork to check your levels, and starting taking a prentale and folic acid as soon as your hCG is back to 0. I’m just coming off my 12 week wait to try again.

Thank you bees. I ended up being admitted again and had both pregnancy (grew a nose and heartbeat after the injection and still rocket hgc levels) and only tube removed. only way for us now is IVF 🙁
