I have been just looking around online and such for dresses, not really committing to anything. But I definetly knew of a style and type that I have wanted. I was thinking lace, short, maybe tulle, sweetheart, cute. That’s me, that’s who I am. That’s who I have always been. But now I’m looking at all different kinds of dresses and I am seeing things that I’d love to try. My recent discovery is this beauty:
It’s nothing liek what I thought I would like. It’s so elegant and beautiful and I just never saw myself that way. Is it normal to see a change in who you are as you plan your wedding?

Perfectly normal! I thought I wanted plain, no-frills, white taffeta and I ended up falling in love with an all-lace, cathedral train, floofy gown! 🙂 You never know what a dress can do for you until you try it on. It’s so different than on the hanger! 🙂

@DanaE: Amen to that! I set out looking for a plain chiffon dress with no train. I’ve bought a lace and sparkly creation with a train! Who’d have thought? I’m looking forward to seeing the reactions of my family as its not something they would think I would choose!

I did the same thing. I wanted a short, to tea length. Ended up with long lace with a train.

Totally normal! Soon-to-be brides normally envision a certain style but once they actually go dress shopping wind up going with something totally different.
