I’m actually going to a shower this Saturday.  This will be her 3rd.  She’s having a 4th the day before her wedding as well.  She has three registries set up and ALL 3 have been COMPLETELY wiped out.  We’re talking like over 200 items here.  I think it’s kind of absurd.

Take advantage of it, that’s great that so many people want to celebrate your wedding!

We had an engagement party, shower, and 2 bachelorette parties.

@kryje003: I had three showers and a bachelorette party. My aunt lives in Thailand for 6 months out of the year. She wanted to throw a small shower with some family members for me, so that was my first one. During my bachlorette party weekend, my best friend and other bridesmaid threw me a bridal shower as well. It wasn’t necessary but they wanted to do both-bachelorette and bridal shower while they were in town. I threw her a combination weekend when she was getting married. My last shower was thrown by my other aunt at her house. At each of my showers, I had less than ten people attend. So, they were small affairs, but nice to have time with family and friends. At times, it felt like a little much with 3 showers, but they wanted to celebrate my wedding and marriage.

I had 3. All in different states and then my bachelorette was on the night of one of the showers. But one had 15 guests, one had 10 guests and another had about 20.

I was stressful trying to find outfits and writing thank you notes for all of them.

Just a bachelorette party for me! I am kind of bummed out that there is no bridal shower, but as long as I get married, I will be happy.

I have been a guest/friend of someone where I thought there was too many things – engagment party (gift), buck & doe (lots of cash), 2 bridal showers (2 gifts) as well as the wedding (big gift) and……. a welcome home party after the honeymoon (gift).

Large family, plus friends, plus living in different states = lots of parties!! I’m having 4 total.
