What do all these initials stand for anyway? I meant to ask this much sooner haha! Guess I’m still fresh to the bee boards

It’s just now beginning to get semi-normal and we’ve been married almost 6 months! haha. It’s awesome, but yeah, still adjusting. Someone will ask me about “my husband” and I have a 3 second delay sometimes! haha. Or my new last name? Yeah, not used to that quite yet either.

@romantical:  haha – i was just about to ask the same thing! There have been so many on here that took awhile for me to figure out – namely the D before the H, which I knew was husband! I kept thinking – Darling Husband? Doting Husband?  What the heck does it mean????

Hmmm.. might to a spin off of this to see what other Bee Acronyms are out there…

I was the opposite. I thought of him as a husband before we were officially married, so it felt weird calling him my fiance. With “husband” I finally have a word that appropriately represents what he means to me. It was the most natural thing in the world to call him that.

It didn’t take long for me to get very used to it.  ๐Ÿ™‚

OP, I’m in the same boat as you. My husband and I lived together before our wedding and it’s taken forever to get used to calling him my fiance. Now I have to start all over and retrain myself to refer to him as my husband. It’s been a VERY long time coming and I’m still not completely convinced that we’re really and truly married.

But then I get that warm, giddy feeling when I glance at him and think to myself, “that’s my HUSBAND!” and all’s right with our little world. Smile

I skipped the “fiance” name, because it weirds me out.

Calling him my husband seemed quite natural though. Kind of exciting when I’d say it the first few times!

I thought it sounded weird too.  But now that I’ve been married almost 2 years it does not sound weird at all.  You will get used to it ๐Ÿ™‚

We started referring to each other as wife/husband shortly after the engagement.  In fact, our friends and family also did the same, as in: ‘tell your husband to stop farting and to make me a s’more’…you know, stuff like that.

Now, typing Darling Husband here with my Bee girls was REALLY WEIRD for the first week.  Now it’s totally normal.  You’ll get used to it.  ๐Ÿ™‚

It wasn’t weird only because the husband made it fun. Right away he started calling me “the wife”. I thought it was silly but I would do the same thing. Now, even ten months later, he is still reffered to as “the husband”. I don’t even say his name and he never uses mine. I know some people don’t like it, but I hope it lasts forever. I don’t even like when he says my name anymore. (:
