- Wedding: June 2015
It feels like not very long ago at all, I was poor, unemployed, undereducated, and not sure where I was going with life. I had a wonderful boyfriend who I had no idea what the hold up was (after almost 4 years) and we were living in a tiny basement just trying to make ends meet.
Now, it’s the middle of December and it’s cold and snowing but life is so great I don’t even care how miserable it is out!!
I just finished my first semester if university with straight a’s. I’m set to grad with first class standing if I keep this up and it feels so incredible!! I was never the best student in high school so this is a really incredible feat for me! It’s amazing what you can do when your heart is in it!
I wrote my last exam Monday and the started looking for some part time work to help us save Because we’re buying a real house in July!! We got engaged in October and then Fiance grandpa died and grandma is sellin their house. We really want to get as much down as possible, we’re looking at 350,000 for the place (whuch is nauseating but very reasonable in my area so we’re trying to not let that number make us too sick to our stomach.. House prices have ballooned around here and they’re still going up)
By the end of the day I had one part time job and by Tuesday I had lined up another one! I’m going to recertify my first aid Saturday so I can start. And then my mom calls me today and tell me her boss has some work she’ll let me have first pick at before they post it externally.
I am over the moon! I have finally gotten to a point in my life where I can just go out and get some work, plus I have developed enough of a reputation that someone asked for me! It feels really incredible to have come this far!
Im just too excited not to share bees! Let this be hope to anyone who feels like life isn’t going anywhere. Sometimes it can turn around really really quickly!!Life has a way of working out sometimes!
Its too early for a real drink but here’s a virtual cheers! To a prosperous 2014 (for actual this time!)
