I love #1. Is it possible for you to try on other ballgowns? There are some that would still show your figure but also give tbat extra oomph that you want. I just think #3 isnt a very nice style for you bc it does eat you up for lack of a better term.

@LoHall:  I was in the SAME exact situation as you…Im the same size and even my conservative Grandma was telling me ballgowns didnt show off my figure and weren’t “sexy” enough! However, I kept on being drawn to dresses that were more ballgown-ey. This is what i ended up doing, but you have to find a ball gown that doesnt ruffle at the waist. Instead it has to have flat pleats or like the last dress you had, how it follows the natural figure line (rather than poufs out) I’m not a bling kind of girl but I actuall tried on the exact ball gown you have one (second to last) and almost got it (but i KNEW something was off!)! instead I went for the Alfred Angelo 2379

and it made my figure look AMAZING. so really you can do ballgown (and you should if its what makes YOU happy but just look for big at the bottom but not OVERLY poufy right at the waist.  Hope this makes sense!

With the dresses you just posted, I love the first one! Show off that great figure, girl!

What about a “two in one” or convertible bridal gown? Then you can feel like a bride for your walk down the aisle but then show off your figure at your reception?

Hey there.

For one: You are absolutely GORGEOUS! I am SERIOUSLY JEL!! Your bod is AMAZING! It looks FAB in a fitted dress, but you should go with your heart and if it’s a ball gown, then – so be it!

You could always be a two dress bride? Ballgown for ceremony and thigter, less heavy one for party? I also have a slightly (ok VERY :p) weird suggestion. Any UK brides will probably know what I mean here as soon as I say it but you could go with a ‘You’re making your Mind up’ Eurovision 1981 thing.

See vid for details: (if the random cheesy bizzareness of early 80s UK clture is making you scared…fastforward to about a minute ten)

Obvs I am not suggesting that you do this ACTUALLY but what about a detachable ball skirt? I am not sugesting removal in the above way.

@slpscientist:  I tried on that first tara keely you posted, it was actually a decent price and looked amazing – actually the little dress looked even better than the big ballgown! I sort of regret not going for it but I thought the bottom was a bit too poofy for a short girl like me…..its a gorgeous dress though!

I have a great figure too, especially my butt, the joke is that fi is marrying me only for my awesome ass lol. I went with a ballgown because I felt like a bride in it. So my question to you is, what makes you feel like a bride? If the fitted gowns make you feel like a bride go for it but if only ballgowns make you feel that way dont pass them up just to show off your figure which you can litteraly do any other day. O and another thought if you dont get the fitted gown then only fi gets the special treat of seeing your figure on your wedding day.

totally go for the ballgown, your figure is amazing and you look gorgeous in the form-fitting ones, but you’re face lights up in the ballgown picture, you look sweet and happy and like a bride! Out of the two new pics you put up, the second, more ball-gown type looks amazing on you, I see it and I see you’re gorgeous happy face before I see a gown (which is a gorgeous gown)

Omg you look fantastic in fitted dresses , but you should always wear what makes you happy and what makes you feel beautifull 🙂
