elderbee :  Oh, and I have to ask , what is a ‘bit’ name?

I’m assuming OP meant to write ‘birth’ name but it got eaten by weddingbee because she went over the allowed character limit for post titles.

WillowBee33 :  That’s true, and it’s great the options we have with technology. However, the effects of having a different name go beyond that. Every first day of school, every time meeting someone new, every substitute teacher calling roll, every job interview, etc. you have to explain the spelling/pronunciation of your name. That gets old.

knotyet :  I also have a name with a different spelling, so more than aware how annoying it can be! If you read my 1st post, I make that pretty clear 🙂

In regards to technology, I was specifically responding to the 2 Bees I tagged in my 2nd post.

WillowBee33 :  I know. I was one of those Bees. I responded to you, after you responded to me. 🙂

No big, and everyone has to do what’s right for them. I just wouldn’t give my child a difficult name after having to live with a differently spelled name.

Gerardo…is nice. I wouldn’t spell it the way you did though. Mind you, I’m Italian and my kids all have Italian names.

What about Lorenzo and you can use Enzo as nickname. It’s kind of a combination of those two first names
