Yes do the cinque Terre tour. I’ve done it and it is great. Is it the hiking tour? Florence is wonderful but the major attractions are very close together so you can visit them all in a short period of time.

Cinque Terre. There really is only so much to do in Florence. I love museums, but that’s pretty much all there is. If you have a reservation in advance for the Uffizi and the David, you will be just fine with one day in Florence.

Florance is INCREDIBLE, go to the museums and such. But I do tend to agree, get out into Tuscany because that is amazing country side.

Yes that is the one. The hike was more difficult than I expected! But it was worth it. The five towns visited are really cute and you have time to wander for wine, gelatto etc. I haven’t been to amalfi though so I cannot comment on that.

Oh and I second the reservations if you want to visit Academia and ufizzi, make a reservation for sure! The line for tickets are so long!

Cinque Terre!! We stayed 2 nights there and wished it was longer. We only had a day in Florence and it was enough to see the major sights. The beauty of Cinque Terre is just amazing. And definately bring your hiking shoes! I had walking shoes but am still recovering from the blisters on my feet from those stairs!!

If you’re coming from the Amalfi Coast it takes a while to get to Cinque Terre. There’s a beautiful hike but thats a lot of travel time. I wpuldnt want to spend my honeymoon on trains and planes… I would do a driving tour in Tuscany to see the little towns around Florence. It’s very scenic and there’s great food.

If you have specific questions, I have travelled around Italy a lot (lived there for several months), just let me know 🙂

Go to Cinque Terre! We were there last year and it was the highlight of our European adventure (we went to Barcelona, Paris, Venice, Cinque Terre (through Pisa), and Amsterdam). The whole trip was awesome but hiking in Cinque Terre was absolutely incredible.

Have fun!
