I have always wanted it to be a surprise so I’m team green and yellow until the birth of our baby, when we actually get pregnant. I was just lucky enough that my fiance felt the same way, we have been blessed with agreeing on many odd things you don’t think about when just dating.

Congratulations on the news of a son!

That’s so exciting! I can hardly wait to have a baby of our own.

We don’t want to learn the baby’s gender until he/she is born but even if we accidently learned we’d be so thrilled and excited! Darling Husband wants a boy first to look after any future girls but I think we’ll have a girl first because the oldest in every family I’m related to is a girl (I know that’s not really a reason). We actually already have a name picked for a boy even though we’re not even pregnant yet (we’re keeners, eh?). James Alexander Tiberius. James IV actually; Darling Husband is James III. Alexander after a great grandfather and Tiberius because it’s a name I’ve really liked for a long time and Darling Husband thinks it’s pretty cool too. He would go by Tiberius. Darling Husband goes by his last middle name and I go by my only middle name. I just realized what a tangent I went off on there, haha. The point was that I’d be super thrilled to learn what the gender of my baby was even though we don’t plan to 🙂

I’ve wanted 2 girls for as long as I can remember (since my middle sister was born in ’87), so when I found out I was expecting Dirty Delete back in ’04, I was ELATED!

Now, all we need to do is work on #2…

Before I got pregnant, I said I wanted a boy first.  I have a big brother and I adore him.  Then, I got pregnant and immediately wanted a girl.  I’m so girly and I could just picture out little girl in bows and tutus and dresses and all things girly.  Cue our ultrasound and we found out it was a boy.  At first I was disappointed.  I don’t know what to do with a boy and girl stuff is so stinkin cute!  But, now I see how excited Darling Husband is to have a boy, and think of how much boys love their mommas, and how dramatic girls are :), and I am just so so excited to be having my little guy.  It just took me a minute.Smile

I thought that my Munchkin was a boy (but we just wanted a healthy baby), so we were very surprised when we found out that it was a girl. However, I was super excited, because there are things that you get to do with both sexes that you can’t with the other. I am so a girly girl (when I am not playing sports, etc) so it has been sooo fun shopping for my Mini Diva!

@GypsyLove:  Welcome to team blue!! everyone always tells me how much boys love their mamas 🙂 I had a feeling LO was a boy and I was right so I had pretty much gotten myself excited already for little boy. I just hope he is just as loving and handsome as his dad! I cannot wait.

@GypsyLove:  Yay! I am 12 weeks so still have a little longer to wait. I cannot wait to find out! I don’t know how people do team green — that’s serious willpower.

I have been telling myself it’s a girl, mostly because of the (totally shaky, I know) theory that severe morning sickness = a girl. But I will be so happy either way. I have both brothers and sisters and hope to have both in my little family, too!

I’m also excited because then we can really start thinking about a name.

We found out a few weeks ago that we are expecting a baby girl, and we were totally thrilled! We didn’t mind what we had just as long as he or she is healthy!!
