Last night, the caregiver for my grandfather got drunk, brought some strange lady into the house and this broad who he’s never seen before in his life was sitting on his lap! We had to roll over there at ten at night, get the passed out parties in question up, inform the “caregiver” her employment was terminated and actually call them a cab because driving was out of the question.
It’s a dreary, rainy day in the rockies…which I don’t mind…but I don’t like either….we’re having chicken for dinner..AGAIN…and as much as a like bok-bok, there’s only so many things you can do to it before you realize it’s just a pair of chicken tits…heat it up and eat already.
I can’t figure out what to get for my Mom’s OR my Dad’s birthday, those two were sadistic enough to be born a mere six days apart, throw in Mother’s Day and you’ve got yourself an empty bank account and a surplus of wrapping paper all in the same week.
I was actually crazy enough to send some of my writing to someone to be reviewed…and while I trust and adore her implicitly…I now remember why I tend to avoid this particular writing practice…IT MAKES ME INSANE! Spelling errors, grammatical errors….plot malfuctions and character holes…WHAT IF SHE HATES IT????? it’s enough to make a morning drinker out of any writer…
Luckily, none of that matters, because there is German Chocolate Cake in our office, I nabbed myself a slab of that baby and here I sit…feeling better already.

@Nona99: Now, why did you have to go and mention cake? I was having a perfectly productive day – now I’m resigned to googling recipes for the cake I won’t even end up making…

If your grandfather’s caregiver was an actual Certified Nursing Assistant or State Tested Nurse Aide (it varies state to state what they’re called), I’d strongly suggest contacting your State Health Department about the incident. When a Nurse Aide commits abuse – which neglect, endangerment, and substance abuse while on the job would be considered, if it’s reported and the state finds them guilty, a finding of abuse is put on the state nursing assistant registery and no one will hire them to provide care again. And if you hired them through an agency, I’d report it both to the agency and state, sometimes agencies will try to protect themselves from lawsuits by hiding incidents.

@Nona99: I’m hoping the cake is better than the repulsive cookies everyone was subjected to last week.

Nona I know you are having a rough day but I must say that you always make mine. Everytime I get on the bee I search to see if you have shared some of your thoughts with us. You are a hilarious woman and I’m sure the writing you sent off is amazing. Enjoy your cake!

I had cake for breakfast yesterday. I have a quarter wedge of made from scratch fresh lemon cake in the freezer if you want it! I used my brand new kitchenaid mixer to make it too 🙂

@Nona99: Let us know when you are published, I would pay cash money to read your writing for more than a post at a time! I think you are hilarious and hope to communicate wit as clearly as you do one day! I swear I’m not blowing smoke up your skirt, dead serious, cash money.
