Hey bees. I had my gender reveal ultrasound on 5/2, when I was 17w2d. We did this so we could send our moms the gender reveal in cute frames for Mother’s Day. We didn’t tell anyone we were having it done, so it was a total surprise. We got to see her for about an hour and she kept her legs closed for a good portion of it, but we were finally able to see the “goods,” or lackthereof. We were told it’s a girl and my husband and I both thought that before the tech even told us. We saw NO extra parts any time her legs would open and it looked very obviously like a girl to us. Our tech waited until the very end to tell us it’s a girl, because she said she likes to be very, very certain before she declares it one way or the other. We were pretty satisfied with her findings, but now that I’ve looked at other “it’s a girl” ultrasounds, I’m not so sure. They say you see a hamburger or the telltale 3 lines. Well, when she was spread eagle, it was more like a small triangle?? There is one more shot where her legs are close together, but still partially open and I can see 3 lines, but it’s not very clear. Anyway, my question is what do y’all think? Girl? Or is it too hard to tell? I’m SO nervous now because we already did our gender reveal photo shoot and posted the pictures on my FB for all of our friends and family to see. Sigh. I wish I wouldn’t google things.
Here are the pictures:
I drew on this picture in Paint to help make it a little more clear….Thoughts?
Oh and as a side note, we go for my 20 week anatomy scan on Monday, so I guess I’ll find out for certain then, but it’s just eating at me right now. I really do think it’s a girl, but I guess I am just second guessing myself.

You don’t understand how much you are both reassuring me right now. Thank you! It is my gut that it’s a girl, but I’ve never seen the “triangle” before on the spread eagle pose! It just worried me!

I would say definitely a girl, the triangle isn’t enough to be boy junk, it’s just a bit of tissue (probably labia).

@crazydogmom: Try posting these on ingender, there are ultrasound techs over there that are really good analyzing even crappy ultrasound images… then come back and tell us what they said!!! 😀
ETA: I’d love to take a guess, but honestly I have no idea!!

@MrsSawyer: That’s what I am hoping. Not that we wouldn’t love a boy, just after we already had our gender reveal, it would be kind of crappy to be like “whoops.” lol
@Quinlan: Oh thanks for the link! I didn’t know about that website. I will do that and update when they give me results. 🙂

crazydogmom– When I was pregnant with Dirty Delete we had a very difficult looking sono where you could barely see the 3 lil lines. I’m pretty sure you are having a girl there is no doubt about it those lines are super visible in the 2nd sono you uploaded.

@crazydogmom: She definitely looks like a girl, and if it makes you feel any better, whenever I look at my gender US, all I see is a big ole wang.
I know its her leg, but still… its off-putting.

@crazydogmom: The first pic is hard to tell but the second pic has three bright white lines like a hotdog or hamburger (to the right of the three red lines you drew.) Looks identical to my little sister’s US pic.
