Um, yes. I am extremely guilty! I am so bad at stalking our registry. We had some towels purchased off of our registry about 2 weeks after we made it, and you would have thought I was given gold. My Future Sister-In-Law admonished me for looking at the registry. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. You know what you’ve asked for, and if you get things that aren’t on the registry, well, they’ll be a surprise anyway!

I was debating trying really hard not to look at them the week before showers, but I’m not sure how successful I will be!

I know exactly how you feel! Something was purchased from our registry before we even sent out our save-the-dates. I was super excited, but also kind of like “oh sh*t, this is happening!”

Haha I was like that too! I handed out my invites the day after I registered, and I went to update my registry online a few days later and saw that 30 of the gifts had been purchased. It was pretty exciting!

Omg…someone bought us the vacuum cleaner we wanted and I couldn’t wait to see who got it for us! So I was totally guilty too!

So funny–I just checked last night and saw that our first registry purchase has been made!! It’s only a cupcake pan, but I was so excited to see “0 gifits you’re getting” move to “1 gift you’re getting”.  We registered back in the fall to get it out of the way, so there have been many months of no registry movement.  Now that we have a couple’s shower coming up next weekend, and I have two bridal showers in April, so I will definitely be stalking!  Fiance last night rolled his eyes and said “aren’t you not supposed to do that?” and I was like “Ummm, how can I not?? Don’t you want to know what we’re getting?” It just doesn’t hold the same appeal for him!

We bought something off our own registry, but I was still excited that something went from “still wants” to “fulfilled”

@MrsDrRose612:  I guess I don’t understand the big deal about not looking at your registry. You know that people will be getting you things off of it, so it’s not like it’s a huge surprise. If they don’t get you something off of the registry, then it’s going to be a surprise anyway! We’ve got our first and second showers coming up in about three weeks, and little by little, more things are starting to come off the registry! It’s exciting to think about using these things in our future home!
