I’ve narrowed down location options (it isn’t final) but I’ve narrowed down to these:
1st Option: this is a hotel and is more expensive than the second option (about 15 dollars more per person)
PROS: I LOVE the hall, I think its breathtaking!
Its big so will fit everyone perfectly.
Its closer to my home (about 40 minutes away).
It’s “weather proof” as it isn’t outdoors.
CONS: Its more expensive.It doesn’t necessarily go with my probable colour scheme (black/white/red)
I’m not sure where exactly in the hotel we’d hold our ceremony (if in the same room and then guests would have to go out for cocktails/canapes and re-enter etc.
Second option a garden/marquee facility.
PROS: It’s cheaper.
Non of my friends have had a wedding reception at a marque.
It goes with my colour scheme (it’s quite plain so therefore we could make it anything we want to)
Not as breathtaking but has potential.
It has an outside location for the ceremony (at no extra cost I believe)
It has gardens with mini bridges etc in which photos can be taken.
CONS: It seems smaller than the previous (chair would have to be moved to dance etc).
It isn’t weather proof so it would have to be an early autumn/late spring wedding (winter is out of the question and FH doesn’t want it to be in summer).
Its further away 2.5 hours (buses would have to be arranged etc, although this means that no desegnated drivers would be needed etc)
Which do you like best? Will post photos of how I would decorate each (more or less) in a reply (so it is not as pic heavy)
