I’m in the UK, we’re inviting 80 to the day and probably about 15 more to the evening (I’m not a fan of evening only invites,  but am not prepared to extend full invites to people who only invited Fiance and I (or just 1 of us!) to their evening do).

I think 80 for the day is about average here. I’d say a small wedding is under 20 and large is over 100. But it’s all cultural – a Sikh friend in the UK invited hundreds to her wedding and considered it small. A colleague whose family is originally from Ghana is inviting about 180 and that’s considered small for them.

Invited 135, 108 attended. We created a little stir when we told both sets of parents, no friends! Also immediate family and friends only. I didn’t invite my sister in law’s family which I actually have known a very long time and do some family events with, but would have been an entire table. In the end, we loved the size and got to at least see everyone and chat for a minute.

Most other weddings I’ve been to if not destination have been I want to say at least 150ish. With some around 200-300 especially friends that are Indian, multiple days, huge, lots of friends of parents! I would say yours is quite small! A coworker had 75 and most people including myself would comment, how great you got it that low.
