I also wanted a big wedding and reception although this is my second time around. But my guy and I want to do the same as you guys and have a big family vacation to Disney later! Four kids between the two of us so we are having a small ceremony and reception( less than 75 ) and then family vacation later! Look at having your ceremony in a chapel at a church, outdoors in a garden or even at someone’s house, depending on number of guests. Invite immediate family and close friends ( if you have not seen or spent time with them in the past six months or year then maybe not include on the list). You can do a reception at a local restaurant or somewhere out of the ordinary. DIY table decor and enlist help from family ….

This is what Fiance and I have decided. When we first got engaged we wanted everything but then reality started to set in and to have a “normal” wedding with all the bells and whisles is a lot of money. We felt that money could be spent else where so we have made it more of a party than a formal affair. Will there be keg stands? probably but that is my family and I know they will have a lot more fun.
