- Wedding: June 2014
My husband and I are renewing our vows June 28th 2015. Our wedding was pretty much a disaster in every way, and alot of things were actually destroyed thanks to a 75mph wind storm. So we wanted to incorporate quite a few wedding type things into our renewal, without making it a second wedding. No second weddings here… cuz after all, we’re already married .
So while sitting in the doctors office waiting for our appointment I was reading some local lifestyle magazine. It featured local food, wine, and quirky things in the area. One article was about a gentlemen who started throwing parties in random places… middle of a corn field, at the ocean, mountain tops etc. It ranged from parties of 150 to 20. The photo featured long rectangle tables put together to form one very long table. It gave tips on how to throw your own party.
SO HERE IT IS! without making it too weddingish we will be having a very intimate affair of about 25-30people max. I’ll be wearing my stepmothers tea length vintage handmade dress. Darling Husband will be in grey slacks, white shirt and vintage suspenders. We’ll have a very long table, with cream colored table runner. Different sized mason jars with white and cream votives. Mismatched chairs, and possibly mismatched tableware. Long strands of hanging white christmas lights, vintage pennant banners in soft teal, rose, and cream. and Cream and burlap paper lanterns of different sizes. We’ll have thrown together “archway” made of oldish wood and a few flowers… and we’ll have a small polaroid photobooth with vintage props. serve food family style… and instead of a cake.. we’ll have an oldfashioned candy table that’ll match the colors of the banners and buttercream cupcakes. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!! I know this is long and you all probably dont want to know all of this… but in my head… it’s gorgeous!!
We recently upgraded my ring to a white sapphire three stone ring… and I just purchased rings for my stack. the three stone looks very modern, as it is all princess cut stones. but the stacking bands I bought are very modest. one has milgrain on the entire ring. its the round, marquise, round, marquise patterned one. its different then the ones on here since it’s only about 1/3 of the ring, and there’s one tiny diamond in the center, and the rest of it are those little dots of metal that sparkle. the other is a maquise patterned half way around, with one small diamond in the center and the rest are those little sparkly metal dots. they look very old fashioned and almost antique looking next to my more modern ring. and since they’re silver, it adds to the vintage feel.
I AM SOOOOOOOO EXCITED! Just reading one article made everything come together perfectly!
