    I was so excited for us to be matching this year since we didn’t last year, but alas he’s gonna be busy with school that weekend so chances are we aren’t even gonna see each other. So my idea for us to go as Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat are out the window.

    I am thinking about going as Jasmine or a gypsy now.

    ETA: My favorite couple costume I’ve seen so far was Buzz and Woody from Toy Story!

    This year were going as zombie bride and groom, cheshire cat and mad hatter, princess peach and wario. =D We love matching costumes!

    (we usually go to 3 or 4 parties so we always buy a few costumes)

    We’ll probably dress individually.  Fiance thinks coordinating costumes are lame, and doesn’t really like dressing up much in general.  His go-to costume is a Jason mask and a plastic knife.  I like couples costumes when they’re unique or ironic, not cheesy.

    For myself this year I’m thinking of a costume I’ve been wanting to do for awhile – Alex deLarge from A Clockwork Orange.

    But I did mention to Fiance that I thought a good half-assed coordinating costume idea would be the characters from Zombieland, which is one of our favorite movies.  We’d just have to dress like the characters do in the movie, and maybe go the goofy route of having “Hi, my name is” nametags to make it clear who we were dressing as.  I’d be Wichita, he could be Columbus or Tallahassee.  But I’m not sure that idea’s going to play out.

    @Koala Bear: I thought about Curious George and Man in the Yellow Hat, too!

    I also thought about Jessica Rabbit (I’m a redhead and love dressing as famous redheaded characters) and Roger Rabbit, but Fiance put the kibosh on that one.  He said Roger Rabbit is a total dork.  I said yeah, but he gets to bonk Jessica Rabbit – doesn’t that count for something?  πŸ˜›

    I’m going to go as a corpse bride (I’m having my hair trial that day, too, so I’ll already have the updo! Smile).  We aren’t doing matching, I think Fiance is doing a character from Team Fortress 2 (a video game).  My friend and her boyfriend are being Aphrodite and Ares, I thought that was cute!

    Last year we went to a Halloween wedding reception, it was amazing! Everyone was so creative and every single person there (100+) dressed up and put so much effort into their costumes! My fiance and I dressed up as “Where’s Waldo” and “Where’s Wenda”, they were great costumes and I hope we get to wear them again!

    Well this year my Fiance and I won’t be wearing coordinating costumes, only because what I want to be doesn’t really have a matching costume for a partner. But, for the past 5 years that we have been together we have dressed in matching costumes. First we were Ricky and Lucy, then we were Roger Rabbit and Jessica Rabbit, Pirates (he was Jack Sparrow and I was his “wench”), Cowboy and Indian, and finally last year we were Ariel and Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid. I must say I am going to miss matching this year, but there’s always next year πŸ™‚

    I love coordinating! Last year we did Miss Scarlet and Colonal Mustard from Clue.  The year before that he was a magician and I was his rabbit.  The 2 years before that we didn’t do matching costumes.  Both times we did they were really cute and people loved them though!

    @MrsBoomBoom: That’s adorable!!

    He doesn’t dress up for Halloween. Usually he goes as himself, occasionally as “God” which is “himself.” (He’s joking).

    I’ll probably go as a vampire or a princess. Or a vampire princess. Anything that I can dress up a lot and put lots of make up on for πŸ™‚ I’m not 100% sure, but I’m excited!!!!

    My favorite couples costume that we did was me as a mad scientist (lab coat, gloves, goggles, ect) and he was my hunchbacked asst.  Thinking of busting that one out again this year. πŸ™‚
