Our stated delivery times are 6-8 weeks, and we strive to get it complete in 4.  October at least for us is our busiest time of the year though, so I wouldn’t necessarily be freaking out about it.  Your photographer should at least give you an update and expected completion time.

@carolsdaughter:  I think you have a right to be worried and you are not over reacting at all! As you said you paid him a lot of money and he told you 6 weeks and is 2 weeks late so you have the right to find out what’s going on! He should be professional and give you an update!

Did he at least give you any sneak peak pics? Our photographer told us 4 weeks but gave us like 6 sneak peak pics 3 days after the wedding so we at least had something!

I don’t think I’d be freaking out about it, but I’d definitely re-familiarize yourself with your contract. If your photog fails to do what the contract states, I’d be looking for some reimbursement. It’s always a good idea to give him/her a little slack–you never know what’s going on. Maybe he/she had a family emergency?

I hope you get great photos.  Mine were late too (it’s been almost 4 months since our wedding and I don’t even have all of them – contract said 8 weeks).  As you know, I wasn’t happy with the experience I had with my photographer and I still don’t know what to do.

Maybe send a gentle reminder via email and ask if there are any problems because you’re getting worried. I hope things work out soon.
