after buying jewelry from nordstrom and macy’s, I realized that was not me. I’m just not a fancy jewelry kind of girl! I ended up returning everything and buying everything from etsy instead.
for the necklace, I couldn’t find the perfect one, so I bought a vintage brooch from etsy and made my own necklace. I think it turned out rather well!
the only thing I don’t like is that my jewelry contains silver, while the bridesmaids jewelry (and handbags) will have antique brass accents. but honestly, I don’t think it will look bad or even be that noticeable. my venue is full of antiques and mismatched things everywhere, I’m ok with bringing that mismatched look into the wedding party as well– their dresses aren’t matching either.
anyway, here are all the things I got from etsy. I’m so excited!

Beautiful! What vendor(s) did you use. I love the blue earrings in the middle.
And I wouldn’t worry about matching the metals at all!

love the jewels!!! What etsy seller makes the blue necklace on the bottom right?

The necklace you made is beautiful! How much did it come out to once you finished it?
ETA: If you don’t mind me asking

I got the earrings here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/tuscanroad
@tkvogel: the very bottom right image is actually a bracelet. both that and the matching necklace to the left of it are from: http://www.etsy.com/shop/rewelliott she offers customization on some of her pieces- such as being able to select the stone color.
the brooch was unique, but to find it, I did a search for “starburst brooch” in “vintage” and got tons of hits. actually, I found lots that looked just like mine, I’m sure they were very popular in the 50’s or 60’s.

Love everything! I’m in the same boat. Bought my veil from etsy, and it looks like I’ll be buying my pearl necklace and hair piece from etsy as well!
