I found my dream ring in a pawn shop for a steal of a price. It is a 1930’s platinum ring with round centre cut in a square setting. It has a very detailed pattern of side diamonds and milligrain. It took my breath the first time I saw it in the window, and I stalked it for 1.5 years until I had the courage to tell my SO about it and that I wanted him to propose with it when he was ready. It was a steal at $900, given the diamond size and detail.
While I have been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for him to propose with it, I am starting to forget the beauty and detail of it. I really miss it, and since he has paid for it, it is no longer in the window so I can’t just go to the store and stare at it any time I want. Hahaha.
I have dreams about it, and what it will to be engaged to him and to get to wear it everyday. I am so excited, and I would very much like for him to propose so I can stare at it once again.
Anyone else know what their ring looks like but can’t see it again until he proposes?

Kind of. We’re long dustance, so we can only look at rings together online. I found the perfect one on eBay, and he bought it. I’ve never seen it in person but he has and he sends me photos of it randomly 🙂 I wish I could see it in person though 🙁 It’s beautiful

We ordered my engagement ring, but now I’m just waiting for it to come in! I couldn’t find it on the web site the other day and got paranoid that I picked out a ring that I will end up hating. I told him as soon as it comes in, I want to wear it. I know if it was in the house, I’d need to tie myself down so I wouldn’t dig around for it and then wear it while he’s at work.

Me too, I am forgetting how sparkly my ring looked 6 months ago! In fact by the time I see it again I would probably forget I picked it out myself!

Luckily my ring is online, so I can look at it whenever I want. But Boyfriend or Best Friend had me pick it out over 3 years ago, in hopes that I’d forget. Nope! Just made me really excited for awhile, thinking he was going to do it then.
Jokes on him, though. Its been so long that I don’t like that ring anymore (or any ring, really….)

3 years!? That has got to be annoying. I hope mine doesn’t wait that long in hopes I forget. Maybe I should tell him I have forgotten to speed things along? haha

YES! It has been 6 months and counting. I can’t remember for the life of me what it looks like. 🙁
