- Wedding: August 2012
When we were at the Houston Rodeo this spring Fiance found a ring style that he loved. They told us that the lead time was 8 to 10 weeks on men’s rings. He thought about it for a short time and then we drove to Fort Worth to place the order at the jewler’s store. At the shop they mentioned that the delivery might be as long as 12 weeks due to a death in the engraver’s family. We did quick math (10 weeks would mean delivery by the first week in July, 12 weeks by the third week of July) we had time to order the ring for our Aug 11 wedding.
I called the store the last week of June to check on the status of the ring, they told me it should be in the shop by August 1st.
I have been a nervous wreck about it ever since. We are getting married out-of-state, and are leaving on August 6. I finally got confirmation (when I called today) that the ring is on it’s way to the jewlers right now, and should be shipped to me tomorrow!
I’ll breathe easier when I have that ring in my hot little hands… but for now, this is a step in the right direction!
Anyone else have a vendor run later than expected and make you really nervous?
(gratuitous [stock] ring photo, because I love his band nearly as much as mine!)
