That’s very strange.  I could understand a few people (maybe 2 or 3 at the most), but the entire class??????

Wow!!! If I would have shown up late for an exam, or handed in a written exam incorrectly, I would have received 0% on the exam. What is the approximate age group of the students?

I’d have never considered not attending/taking my finals when I was in college.

You know, this really upsets me, community college or no! My Fiance is currently in his last semester before Nursing school. He works very hard and gets straight A’s (even in the dreaded Microbiology and Anatomy & Physiology.) We constantly discuss how many people don’t show up for class and when they do show up, don’t turn in assignments or even the “busywork” homework assignments for credit. In his Algebra class, for instance, they started out with 30 people in the class. There are now 16 left due to drops, no shows, and flunking out. I do not think these things should be optional and if it was up to me, if they did not follow the rules to the letter, I would at least knock some credit off. Then again, Fiance and I are in our 40’s and the mindset/work ethic of some (thankfully not all!) kids today we just do not understand.

I’d totally deduct 10 points for those who didn’t follow directions and put it in your mailbox instead of emailing it to you. It infuriates me when people can’t follow simple instructions.

@2PeasinaPod:  I agree 100%!  If they can’t follow directions, they should lose some points!

Wow. I would fail the class if I didn’t take my finals… why would you do the work all semester to not do the final? Unless they can still pass with a zero on the final…. but still. Speaking of… I’m off to a mandatory review for finals. Yay Nursing school!

@2PeasinaPod:  agreed. I never, ever would have thought I could get away with something like this when I was in college. I always followed exam instructions to a T.

@aliavenue:  That is so strange, and what a waste of time for you! Wonder why noone did what they were supposed to.
