marriedalready69:  thank you 🙂 your ring is also remarkably eye catching and beautiful! If I understand correctly from your other post it was a custom design with the diamond being a family heirloom? I love the idea of custom e-rings. One of my office clients deals diamonds and makes custom jewelry, if I would have met him before getting engaged I’m sure I would have gotten my Fiance to go that route ;P

My centre stone is only just a bit bigger than .5 but I seem to get a lot of attention over it, not that I am complaining!

*PS. oops my apologies just re-read; the custom ring was a lady responding to you, but regardless custom or not, your ring is stunning!

summerlove23:  totally random question, but do you notice if the stones on your band are skinnier than the width of the base of the metal part? My jeweler has suggested we go with A. Jaffe for my custom ring but on the sample pieces in the store it almost seemed the diamonds and prongs on the bands tapered in from the base of the band. Your picture doesn’t seem to look that way.

cindyloo:  To my eye (and I have a very particular eye) the stones look pretty much the same width as the band.  There might be a little tiny fraction of a mm clearance that I’m assuming is to protect the little melee.

FWIW, I really like A.Jaffe, they went back and forth with me on the CAD as many times as I needed, plus they’ve been in business for like 120 years, and they use a really good quality white gold (if you have allergies, they’re 100% nickel free).

purple_crack:  Your ring is so freaking gorgeous! Definitely one of the coolest rings I’ve ever seen! I had to check out Heidi Gibson’s website – drool, drool, drool. Wow.

summerlove23:  Thank you for all the information. Their palladium gold mix was also another interest of mine. As soon as I saw your first post of your ring it really reassured me while waiting for my first CAD because it is beautiful!
