- Wedding: November 2012
Question in last paragraph, i got a little carried away.
Well I’ve always been a last minute type of person. God has really blessed us lately. With all the drastic changes of moving, better jobs, school, etc. We are eloping THIS Sunday. It all laid out so perfectly. First we were going to have my sister come to take pictures but she called me said she wanted to do something else. Which is fine I vowed to keep this easy as eloping shouldn’t be stressful. So we let another person in on the secret, a upcoming photographer and friend of mine. She agreed for 50 dollars to do the wedding for us (Yay!). I emailed a pastor in Gatlinburg and he agreed to do the wedding at noon in the spot where my Fiance proposed for a love offering ofcourse. So HERE WE GO!
I was afraid that by eloping we would take the special-ness out of the ceremony for my daughter. She’s 4 and has been very excited since the engagement. BUT this has actually become more special! Since my Fiance recently gained a better job in a different city I have been Stay-At-Home Mom with my daughter and she is so very involved in everything it is in my oppinion even more special. So tomorrow we are going to travel to the new town, look at the first house we will rent as a family, go get my Fiance on lunch, get our marriage certificate, and Dress shop at all the consignment stores and clearance racks for pretty dresses (makes it an adventure we love sales ). The icing on the cake was this morning we went krogering and WAH-LA Kroger had Hydrangeas in the flower shop so We are going to make us matching Bouquets( I have wanted hydrangeas for YEARS)!
We did tell his Mom and step dad and I kinda eased my mother into the idea a little to ease the shock. But other than that, its a secret! Shhh… I am just in shock. Its actually happening. It feels so different than I expected. Its the same feeling as when my Fiance took us on the initial picnic to our spot and I could see the outline of the ring box in his pocket.
I do have one question though….. One idea I pondered to maybe make close family feel a little more included and anyone who wanted to see it as well, was to take our laptop and webcam the ceremony for them to see that night when we get back when we go by their house. That way they get to kind of be there. or is that bad luck? I’ve never really seen anyone do that but I kind of want the footage to go along with the pictures we get.
