That sounds really good!

I never understood chutneys.  Can someone enlighten me what you eat them with?

@clumsylawyer:  Woo….I’d love the recipe for the plum and ginger jam.  I really like chutneys, but my Darling Husband doesn’t “get” them.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Because I’m 8 months pregnant, I didn’t do too much canning this year.  I did make a batch of dill pickles and a 5 gallon batch of my DH’s family sweet pickle recipe.  My Darling Husband helped out a lot this year because I couldn’t do any of the heavy lifting.

oooo I love to can, and that is a must-do in the area that I am from.  Wedding favors will all be canned as well.

I love hearing that so many others still can.  It’s kind of a lost art.

Oh yes, I love canning with a passion. I also freeze a lot. This year I was limited on how much I could do because we weren’t able to get a garden in. But my stock pile for the winter includes the following:

2 jars of orange zucchinni jam

2 jars of lime zuchinni jam

9 jars of pasta sauce

4 quarts of stewed tomatoes

8 jars of zuchinni salsa
