I think it’s beautiful, but I didn’t have expectations of it like you did… So don’t try not to be disappointed, have them make it right!!

finnrose:  I think it’s very pretty! But of course you need to be happy with it. And they couldn’t do the claw prongs because it wasn’t their stone? I don’t get that part. I was also wondering how you were going to have an “unplated” white gold ring. Sorry for all that confusion. I hope you can find a way to be happy with it…

I totally understand being disappointed in that it’s not exactly how you imagined it, but I must say, it is a gorgeous ring. The setting is lovely and, even as a fellow fan of claw prongs, I do like the subtle prongs on this, it really makes the stone stand out on its on. Hopefully, as you get more used to it, you’ll love it.

Also, if there is a flaw in the setting, especially one that could compromise the security of the setting, that should be fixed.

It looks beautiful, but if it’s not what you ordered, it’s not what you ordered. They MUST refund you or exchange it if it is in fact different from what was written on your order. I would talk to someone in management.

finnrose:  It looks gorgeous to me!

Rhodium plating wears off, so it will eventually match your plain white gold, it’ll just take some time.  I can’t see what you mean with the prongs (but I trust you) if there’s a defect or something actually made incorrectly I’d contact them about it.

finnrose:  i like it but it’s not mine to like. Can you get a refund or see what they can do or do they have some sort of strange policy not allowing you to change the setting because the center was not purchased from them?

finnrose:  Oh and the ones on yours are normal prongs – gotcha.  Yeah…I’d be complaining about that.  It’s not what you ordered, they should make it right.

finnrose:  I think it’s gorgeous, but that is besides the point. You should receive what you paid for, and it sounds like you were misled. I would not accept customer service’s excuse of it not being their stone. They had plenty of time before shipping the ring to inform you that they would not deliver what you ordered. Good luck!
