After 6 months of waiting my one-of-a-kind custom wedding dress is finally here and I almost missed it! I knew the dress was due to arrive today and that it would require a signature so I woke up early so I could make sure to hear the knock on the door (our apartment complex doesn’t have doorbells) when the delivery person came but I guess I couldn’t hear them over the fan on our room because when I went by my front door there was a slip in it saying they had missed me! Luckily for me—but not so lucky for the mail carrier—his truck had broken down in our parking lot so I was able to run out and catch him.
The dress was inspired by 1950’s prom dresses, I love the big frothy layers of tulle and lace but it literally impossible to find one in my size so that’s when I started trying to find someone to make a reproduction. My dress was made by the lovely Erin at Bridal Bliss Designs on Etsy, she was very nice and easy to work with and very accommodating. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone wanting to go the custom dress route.
Anyways, enough yapping, here’s the dress! It didn’t come with the sash, I was just trying it on with one to see if I liked it.
Let me know what you think!
