@RobandLil0107:  Thats too bad about FI’s dad.  There was this horrible TV show on once called Rock Wives where one couple got married legally in a small ceremony quickly because the father of the groom was dying and then a year or something later they had the big celebration.

There are also other stories of people having a quickie wedding and then doing a ceremony later.  I myself got married legally at the town hall with no ceremony or vows at all.  We are having a ceremony later for family but its not my dream wedding or anything just a big party for our family to celebrate with us.

If you have a backyard wedding for family first so all can attend maybe you and your new husband could go do the winter wonderland thing later with a few people who are close to you and would have just as much fun.
