@WillowTreeWade:  I hear you. I’m trying to plan my ceremony music right now and have been stressing. Until I came to the conclusion that I have never remembered anyone’s music…time for a reality check.

@WillowTreeWade:  Yep. Remind yourself that what’s most important is the marriage itself, not the wedding. You can get married without all the flair (and stress) of a reception. A reception is essentially just a party, am I right? Relax and enjoy the wedding planning process.

My Fiance tells me this. It annoys me because I think I have been a very cool and collected bride-to-be. I’m very organized. I’ve done most of the crafting myself as I don’t want to burden anyone else. We went to a wedding a few months back that was kind of a shit show, and he told me he doesn’t want out wedding to be like that, but then I have a moment of stress and he tells me to not worry so much about it because it’s only one day.

@WillowTreeWade:  I wish I had thought about that more during my planning. We didn’t have a overly expensive wedding, but to us it was expensive as it was just one day. it was a beautiful day, but I wish now, looking back, that I didn’t fret over the small things as much.

@WillowTreeWade:  Well yeah it is, but it’s not just an ordinary day either. The planning is necessary and worth it, but you don’t have to go all cray cray about it to have a great day. 🙂

I’ve been married for four years, and I continue to remind myself of that whenever I think of something that didn’t go the way that I wanted it to on my wedding day.  It really IS only one day out of an entire lifetime. 🙂

Oh yes I remember exactly …so many things went wrong at the last minute (like the florist told me at 10PM the night before our morning ceremony that the flowers never came in…like my bridesmaid telling me that she didn’t have a dress 3 days before the wedding…like me losing my wallet right before our honeymoon, and the list goes on LOL! I remember watching Bridezillas one day and one bride was so frustrated, she said she just gave up and said, “You know what…I’m not coming anymore, everyone else can be there…but I don’t want to come anymore!” Its lack of sleep, unexpected frustrations, and some things just end up getting scrapped in the end…but I’m so glad we did it, and I’m so glad we got to all relax afterwards! It’ll be over soon, you’ll see. 🙂
