I have no idea. I’m trying to figure out the same thing- what to do for Valentines day??

We have decided not to get each other presents anymore, but we still like surprises, good meals and fun activities to celebrate birthdays, holidays and anniversaries.

GO ZIP LINING! I was in the same position as you last year for FI’s birthday (in mid-March, so I feel your pain). Then I saw a GroupOn for zip lining and it was SO MUCH FUN!

It may be too obvious, but you could get lingerie…

What kind of video games does he like? Do you two ever play any video games together? My Fiance and I sometimes play strip Mario Kart. Basically you compete against each other and whoever loses the race needs to take one item of clothing off.

Our Valentine’s Day tradition is to…ehmm…buy a new toy for the bedroom.  LOL  We didn’t do it last year because we were recovering financially from the wedding, Christmas, honeymoon, etc and we both missed it.  DH keeps saying “One month to the new toy!” He’s pretty excited.  lol

I bought my SO tickets to see John Pinette.  Check your local theatres to see if there’s any good comedians coming to town!

@mandigrl04:  Umm….this is freaky. We do the exact same thing. When we started 9 years ago, I told him I didn’t want a gift, I just wanted him to plan the date–since I was always the planner! Then i took our anniversary that year. Its his turn for Valentine’s Day this year.

One year I asked him whether he would ever like a bouquet and he said no. So I made him a “bouquet” of socks, which he loves–funky ones especially–folded the socks into flower shapes and stuck them on craft sticks. He loved it!

I think I’m gonna get him a couple of nice ties. He’s just starting off in the business world and I love watching him try and match shirts/ties – so cute after 5 years of seeing him in nothing but jeans and old T-shirts!

We’re trying to stay low-budget this year and next to save for the wedding, but hey, he needs ties.
