Hello ladies, my name is Jessica and I’m getting married on Friday the 13th of March 2015. We are having a casino themed wedding at a hotel in Niagara Falls because that has always been our date weekend location π
I have been checking out jjhouse more to see what silhouette I like but when I saw this one I got that feeling… I didn’t think mermaid would be my thing, but I feel this one is soft and sexy, not tight and trashy (like some I’ve seen)
I would love to hear any experiences you have with the company.

@jlbiffis: My experience with purchasing my short lace civil ceremony dress was fine- I received the dresses within 2 weeks of ordering, and for another dress, I ordered a custom tailored size, which cost a little bit extra but turned out well. I plan on ordering Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses from there based on my experience. However, I would not purchase my full bridal gown from them (my gown is from a bridal salon in the States- Winnie Couture- and is being custom fitted). I say that for two reasons:
– I (personal preference) would rather see/ try on a full bridal gown in person; fits and pics of a model usually don’t translate well on me
– I am suspect of the types of material used. The polyester chiffon is ok for bridesmaid dress, and my BM’s don’t care ( especially if thy don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for a dress), but I am very particular about matteral and feel.
Also, be warned that if you are in the States, you will get a bill from UPS for brokerage fees AFTER you have paid for shipping/handling for your products. Maybe others are normally accustomed to that, but I was surprised by it. I was still happy with the overall costs for the dress received.
Edit: I really like that silhouette too! I feel like there are several dress designs like that one that I have seen around the bee. Good Luck and Congratulations!

Try on gowns to see what looks best on you. Sometimes it’s the complete opposite of what you might think!
Also, I would suggest reading some reviews on JJHouse before purchasing. Many people have gotten poor quality products at high prices from them. I personally ordered a shrug [$70] and a necklace/earrings set [$40] and they were both horrible quality. I’ve read many times they that don’t accept/will fight to not accept returns, so I didn’t bother.
I will never purchase from them again.

Thank you for your opinions ladies π
I am in Canada and am aware of the duties, I have been reading the reviews religiously but wanted real life stories. It seems to me to be a legit company that can provide amazing dresses.
I told hubby that I will not go over $500 for my dress, I cannot justify it. I have a friend who is a seamstress on the side so should any alterations need to be made she will do them for free!
I am due with a baby on the 29th so as soon as my measurements are normal again I think I will be purchasing!
