My Fiance and I had picked out the ring together, and then picked UP the ring together, and he didn’t propose until OVER A WEEK LATER.

I used to sneak into his dresser every time he was in the shower and put the ring on. No judgment here.

I can’t even believe you didn’t look at it! Kudos to your will power! I’d have been all over that.

Pretty exciting!

The day the ring came in, I tried snooping. Didn’t work. He knew I would look. Luckily he proposed that night, but I couldn’t keep my mind off of it!

Fingers crossed he gives it to you soon!

We went looking for rings together, and he didn’t propose until 8 weeks later. Torture! For my Dh, it was all about making a “plan” come together, and he went through several brainstorming versions of how it should go before settling on a plan.

Yours may be doing the same.

@BadaBingBling:  If I ever found a ring/ring box I would not want to look BUT what if the ring box was actually just earrings? I think I would open it with my eyes closed, feel it and make sure if was a ring.

I feel similarly for your situation, what if it’s just a random junk ring that ended up in the house? (This kind of thing actually happens at my place somehow, so I’m not just being a loony) I would have to feel it/get a friend to look. Just so that I would know for certain and not always be guessing either way.

BUT if you don’t feel the need to know anymore then good for you! Stay strong and  I hope he doesn’t drag this out any longer.

…as I was writing this I just had a thought. It’s a bad one and I’m really sorry to say it but I think that I have to. If he sent a family ring out to be sized or whatever, wouldn’t they give him a box to put it in afterwards? Don’t those boxes practically grow on trees? Unless this is the old setting in the bandaid box. OR he took it out of the ring box to make it harder for you to find in case you were looking.

@Everdeen:  I kind of worried something similar.

OP, can you go try the ring on? I think it’s safe to say that if it fits, you’re probably in the clear. You don’t have to look at it.

There is nothing wrong with snooping LOL

I told my SO that I am a snoop and when he gets the ring to not hide it in the house. My willpower is no where near as big as yours. I would have looked at it for sure!

Wow good for you for not looking! I hope it is THE ring 🙂 I try snooping sometimes but SO has a safe at his house that I have never thought to ask to the combination to and I am pretty sure he won’t tell me now because I think there will be a ring in there soon!
