We got married on April 28th!!! It was a beautiful outdoor wedding ( a little chilly but no rain!) and the day was all a blurr, I can not belive its all over (or I guess its all just begining). We went on our honeymoon, spent a week in Jamaica and it was all so amazing!!! I am so happy 🙂
As soon as we got back I went to get a copy of our marriage license and headed to social security! I now have a new last name, its strange to see it written down though, I feel like its not me and feel like it is somebody else. I have gone to the DMV and now working on all the other things that need to be changed. I have always wanted to change my last name but now that I have a part of me is sad that my old last name is gone…. I know i will get used to it and I am really happy its just to odd to see something different.
I had so much fun planning the wedding and the honeymoon, now that its over I kinda feel like, now what??

Hopefully you will stay at the boards…to get your wedding fix!

Congratulations!! I changed my name 5 months after our wedding..yeah, I procrastinated. I find myself frequently in wedding withdrawl, and staying here on the boards imparting my….”wisdom”…definitely helps! 🙂

Congrats on your life!! Guess i will feel like you..i signed my dad´s last name for 40 years, i am fond of it, i know who i am with it..it feels a little weird to be having a different name from the one i was born with..soooooo i may be continuing signing my old name, just writing down the full name when i have to…not sure yet!

@Future Mrs K: Congrats! I was married on the 29th and just started changing everything…it is so weird. I started a new job this past week and they introduced me as Arielle (NewLastName) and I thought wait, who is that?! LOL I did change my middle name to my maiden though.

Congrats! The rest of the name changes might take a bit, you need to get your new driver’s license back before changing at a lot of banks.
