Send out an engagement announcement or get photos taken…it’s a nice way to do engagementy things when you don’t actually start planning. Congrats!

Also, I sat down with my Fiance and we each did a survey for what we thought our wedding should be like and what was most important to each of us. Then we shared answers and talked about it. I really wanted him to be involoved and for us to have the same vision as much as possible. It was kind of fun!

@RabbitBride:  I’m stealing this idea! I love surveys and I think having one with both of our thoughts in it will be an awesome starting point for talking more in detail about the wedding. Plus it will be fun and I can add it to my wedding binder that I will eventually get or make.

serious planning I say about a year. It would drive me INSANE to plan something for 2 years aside from looking for inspiration, Pinterest, etc. I dont know how some girls are planning already for 2015. It would make me crazy unless I had absolutely nothing else to do. You have to do what works for you and your area though.

For wedding dress shopping you can go in early 2014 or at the very end of this year. That way the new styles will be out AND you can work on getting in shape all this year.
