September is finally here!!!! How surreal does it feel after all the months/years of planning? It’s just over two weeks until the Mr. turns me into a Mrs.!
So, how are you planning to make the week or two leading up to your wedding feel really special even in the midst of last minute wedding craziness?
On a random side note, I just realized my hands are lizard scaly and dry, and I’m kind of ready to stop worrying about how every single part of my body look!

I just realized it was September and came right here to gush about it!!
We’re not doing anything special but we will get to spend a lot of time together for last minute planning which I am excited about…
I hope you can stop picking yourself apart (scaly lizard hands… really? I’m sure your hands are beautiful) This should be a time of feeling like hot and sexy bride!! For every negative thought I catch myself having I’m forcing myself to have a positive one…
Happy planning couples! Try to keep from going crazy…

Good point. Unfortunately, I just moved back to a super dry area, and my body has not adjusted. Thus, super dry hands no matter how much lotion I put on them. Oh well, at least I get to live in the same place as my almost husband!
We still have a few things on the ol’ “To Do” list, but we’re going to try to work in a few evenings with just us and with no wedding tasks, before we head out to the city where our wedding will be.

Flipping my calendar to the new month and seeing the day circles in red was actually really exciting.. Seeing the week after the wedding say Honeymoon was even more exciting! ๐
We don’t have anything special planned for this last week. I was actually going to suggest we do something the Thursday night before, since we aren’t spending any of friday together or sleeping at the same place friday night.. Maybe we’ll go see a movie to relax and get our minds away from the craziness that will happen..
@smores: I agree with worrying about how I look. I’ve been obsessed with my nails, and they’ve all broke this past weekend!

I can’t believe it is here! I feel like we have been engaged FOREVER (since last October which isn’t really that long). So ready to be a wife!
Fiance keeps wearing his wedding band around the house and talking about how excited he is to wear it in public…but I’m not supposed to share that. Whoops ๐

Yay!!!! We’re getting married this month
2 weeks from today we’ll exhange our gifts…I can’t believe I kept his a secret this long. With the holiday, we’ve got a 4 day work week next week, then a 3 day the week of the wedding. So I only have 8 working days left as Miss Smashville.
We’ve got to finish up our counseling sessions and I’m ordering the flowers this week. Those are the last major things on our list. I’ve scheduled my last 2 groupon-puchased pole dance classes for this Saturday & next to give me a little break from wedding craziness.

@Miss Smashville: OMG, I hadnt’ even thought about only having 8 days of work left. That made me really happy! I’m almost as excited about time off for the honeymoon, as I am about the wedding! Just kidding! Sort of…

@smores: If you’re worried about dry skin my trick is olive oil. It works amazing on scaly elbows and knees, just apply it before bed and then either wear old PJ’s or put old sheets on the bed because oil stains. If I put it on my hands I just use old sheets. Another thing you can do is take a body wash and apply it to dry hands, then take a body scrub or even just granulated sugar, and apply that over the body wash. Rub your hands together and focus on the dry spots for like a minute, then rinse with warm water and immediately apply a good hand lotion like the neutrogena swiss formula. This is a trick I learned from my aunt who sells Mary Kay, they sell it as a hand softening system but I couldn’t afford it so I just used what I had. It works greeeeeeeeeat.

I can’t believe September is here!! Last September when we got engaged I thought a year was such a long time, but it has gone by super fast!!
I have today at work and 3 days next week, then we head to the next province over to go and do the final prep for our wedding and get married!!
I can’t wait. I want the day to be here and then the week after we have off to relax and do some fun things.
