I survived this V-Day relatively unscathed…though Boyfriend or Best Friend thought it appropriate to bring up either the “E” word or the “W” word on 3 separate occasions. I must admit – I got a huge kick out of one.
His co-workers asked him if he was on the radio today and he answered – rather confused – that he wasn’t, but wanted to know why they asked. He was told, “Some lady by the name of Flutter from Mayberry called the station today and was like, ‘I’m sure my Boyfriend or Best Friend is going to propose today, and I’m a nervous wreck!’ Then the dude called and was like, ‘This is HeFlutter, and the answer is NO, I’m not proposing today.’ And Flutter said, ‘How could you say those horrible things on the air?’ and dude responded with, ‘Why are you bringing our personal business on the radio?’ It sounded JUST LIKE you, Dude…”
After the fact, I realized I should have responded with, “Did you tell them that I know better?” 😉

Lol what a jerk for bringing that up (the co-worker). And you should’ve said something along those lines, haha.
Glad you made it through okay. 🙂

I know, right? One of the guys he works with proposed on Sunday and he brought them up. Then, he told me about that. There was one other time too. I think he was testing me…hmmmph.

Ya, I know what you mean about dropping the “E” word yesterday. I swear, for a good 8 hours I was convinced yesterday was the day, but it wasn’t. No complaints though, we had a wonderful day and I’m very grateful to be free of the “I’m going to throw up all over myself” feeling. Nerves… they suck.
Anywho, I was playing with my Pandora ring from my mommy at the Restaurant and Boyfriend or Best Friend and I was just kind of swirling it around on the table and he said, “we should probably stop – haha – the waiter’s are going to think we just got engaged and come over here and start singing or something”. I just laughed and was said, “but hey! Maybe that means we’d get a free dinner?”

One of the waitresses at the restaurant is a friend of his from HS. We go there a lot and she knows us. My back was to her (she twas totally blocked from view actually), and she said something to my Boyfriend or Best Friend. (Pantomimed was probably a more accurate term because she was by the bar.) He leaned forward, suddenly got embarassed, and shook his head. I asked him what she said and he wouldn’t tell me. He said he couldn’t understand it, but that it was apparently funny. Liar – she asked if he was going to propose and he couldn’t handle being under a microscope. LoL…I found it amusing.

I didnt get engaged yesterday, I knew it wasnt going to happen, but he surprised me with dinner, flowers, wine and desert etc 😉 But we did talk a lot about what is going to happen at our wedding, it was awesome he was so into talking about it, then I said ” we arent even engaged yet” but we still kept talking about some arrangements… it was great.. I know he will surprise me on a non-holiday and it will be soon within the next couple of months but he wants to catch me offgaurd like he did last night with the gifts I totally did not expect since I told him not too… and he agreed … lol
