Whenever someone mispells ridiculous it makes me think of the Harry Potter spell “Riddikulus”

@rosworms: THANK YOU!
ETA: I used to think people were just trying to be funny with their spelling… then I realized they actually didn’t know how to spell “ridiculous.” I was sad.

They + are = they’re
You + are = you’re
For example: “They’re bringing their dog when we go there. You’re bringing your dog too?”

It always makes me laugh when people spell it wrong…what’s ridiculous is that you’re calling someone/something ridiculous and don’t know how to spell it! 🙂

(Ahem … I mean “definitely.”)
Memory trick for this one: look at the middle of the word. “finite” is a real word, “*finate” is not – “deFINITEly” is the correct spelling.

As the former 4th grade spelling bee champ, who was de-throned by spelling “LEMONMAIDE” instead of “LEMONAIDE”…. I can say that I wish WB had a spell check. I’m sure I’ve embarrassed myself more than once on here with my mad alphabet skills.
