i’m christian but i do not believe this is the end of the world. like you said desiree, the bible says no man knows the hour so why are people falling for this? better yet, why are believers falling for this? don’t they read the bible? they should. all the answers are there!

besides, it would be super annoying since my mba graduation is the day after!! all that work for nothing. lol.

My pastor was preaching once about God’s magnitude… using Skittles as an analogy. He had a small candy dish sitting on the table, with some skittles in it. He said that we as humans, try to fit what we want God to be into our minds. (Our minds being the bowl, and the few skittles being what we want from God). He then took out a 6 gallon tub of skittles and said, THIS is what God is really like in comparison. We aren’t meant to fully understand Him, or “fit” Him into our lives. He further illustrated the impossibility by dumping ALL of the skittles into that tiny bowl… burying it. He spoke more on us trying to understand God, and he spoke of the End Days. He said we aren’t meant to know whent that’s going to be until it happens. He jokingly said that even if humans did figure it out, that God might change it just to spite us lol.

So no, I don’t believe the world will end in 2012 specifically… I don’t know when it will end, but I’m perfectly okay with that.

And a side note, the worship team performed the song this post was named for during that very sermon.

@Gingersnap: I’m with you Ginger….. I don’t think that makes me any less of a Christian either. I think many use our faith as a way for popularity and monetary gain.
