We went and bought a gorgeous made-to-measure suit for my fiance yesterday.  He had all the measurements done, picked out the fabric, the lining, the details, everything.  Afterward he said he was struggling with spending so much money on something for himself even though it was in the budget.  We talked through it a bit but he still felt guilty and uncomfortable.

Today I got a text from him about that. He said he was feeling a lot better about it, and said thank you for being encouraging to him and for helping him see that he should get to have special stuff for our wedding day too.  He said he’s really chuffed about his suit now and he can’t wait to see it in person.  It’s always a little hard to see your SO strugging with something, but I’m so happy he’s feeling better about it and was able to work through all of that in his head.

A little more practical but we moved into a newer, much nicer apartment than our last one a month ago and maintenance finally came to fix a bunch of little repairs so now we can hang all of our stuff on the walls and be officially done moving in!

Love this. I keep a gratitude journal every day & I’ve just finished it actually. Highly recommend that everyone does this!

On Sunday I ordered new prescription glasses. I havent bought new glasses in 9 years & have just worn contact lenses for 5 years. This will save me lots of money every month as my daily contacts are pricey!

So, DH is extremely lazy about packing his lunch (like he would just throw in some chips, snack cakes, fruit snacks, etc like a 10 year old kid) and honestly since its been extremley hot and he works outside he doesn’t ever feel like eating a heavy lunch nor a warm lunch.

Yesterday as I’m cooking dinner I decided to prep a bunch of produce for the two of us, but two items in particular for him: cherries and garden-grown cucumbers, two food items I don’t like. I portioned theme out into baggies so he can just grab them and throw them in his lunchbox.

When he got to work this morning he texted me “Thanks for my lunch prep babe.” along with his usual love you, have a good day. It definitely made me smile this morning. Its the little things.

I’m starting my own business on the side and today I got a notification I’ve got my penultimate stock delivery coming tomorrow before I can launch and an adorable “plastic free” wooden ink stamp came for my packaging and it is adorable and mad me smile.

My little dog seems to be perfectly house trained, seems to have all her grown up teeth, and last night showed she comes back when  called when off leash. So l am happy, though still anxious about that last one.

My future in laws have four dogs. One is very skittish and doesn’t like strangers. The past two summers that we’ve visited he stayed far away. Today he let me give him lots of pettings.

My remote control wasn’t changing the channels last night for no reason but it was doing only on/off and volume levels. Not sure if I had to call cable/satellite guy to troubleshoot so I was not looking forward to that. I retried this morning to change the channel and it’s working normally again. LOL

Oh and I’m going to a friend’s birthday bbq this weekend and stopped by the store to get him a gift. I got him the perfect birthday card too.
