We are getting a serious thunderstorm right now. This is way too early for Minnesota (we usually still have snow on the ground!), I am so so worried we’re gonna have severe weather on our wedding day. Anyone else worried about the weather on the day?

I was worried about this… I live in Ohio and my worry was BLIZZARD. In fact I know a couple who had their wedding planned for March a couple years ago. That was the March we got a late winter storm that cancelled school and work.
The pipes in the church burst. The electricty went out. None of their relatives could make it in from out of state (airport closed).
They still got married on the day and from the interviews it sounded like they had kind of a wonderful romantic day!
So that was good to hear to keep things in perspective. In the end I just had clouds and cold (high of 50 degrees) on my wedding day.

I am worried a little bit as august is normally dry for us but last year it turned in to monsoon season. Im worried not only that the path to our reception will be muddy but also that we will get rained out and I don’t really have a plan of how to get a tent out there yet. Thankfully most of my guests know the area and will be able to take the level of trail muddyness in to account.

It’s been in the 70’s here for weeks and it’s usually still snowing. The flowers all came up and the trees are budding so I guess it’s going to stay warm. Were expecting a thunderstorm tonight too here in Pennsylvania.
I expect an early and terrifyingly hot summer so I’m crossing my fingers for rain on our wedding day… I also want rain because were indoors and I’ll be sad if it’s nice and sunny because I was too scared it wouldn’t be to book an outdoor venue. lol

I hear you, the weather has been SO strange this winter. It’s nearly 80 here in Cleveland when normally it would be snowing. No idea what the summer will bring!

If I were getting married in the next few months, I’d definitely be concerned about the weather. This Winter has been wayyyy too mild so something’s gotta give. I’m convinced it’s either going to snow in May or we’re in store for the rainiest summer in history. Neither of which will be good for anyone. I will say that we were pleasantly surprised with the weather on our wedding day (early October/65 and sunny) but we also didn’t have such a whacked out Winter last year.

I am. I’m getting married in OCT 6th and it could go either way. Warm or cold. I have to admit, I want it to be cold. Very cold. And I dont want rain!!!!!!! I would really like to take our pictures outside with all the Fall colors!

Yeah I feel silly for worrying about something I cannot control, but one word keeps popping up in my head…Tornado. I live in Minnesota’s “tornado ally”, I keep thinking about where I am going to put all those people if we have to take shelter. LOL I’m crazy.
