Guess What Bees?
My first bridal appt to try on wedding dresses for the first time is TOMORROW! I’m SO excited 🙂 My mom lives out of town so only my sister (MOH) and my friend are coming with me.
Any advice for my very first day of dress shopping? What questions I should ask, What I should bring. wear. ect.
How do you know if the bridal store carries a dress I like?
I’m looking for a trumpet/mermaid gown with a fuller skirt with ruffles or organza.
Similar to these styles…

Be open to trying on something even if you dont think it could be your dress.
I wasnt looking for ruffles and ended up falling madly in love with Mikaella 1508-ruffles from chest to floor!! It is for sale if you find it, try it on and want to get a fantastic deal…

i love the dresses you have listed!!
Usually the website of the store you are going to will list the designers that they carry. This is a good way to check if you like the designers they carry.
As for trying on dresses, you really don’t need to be overly prepared. A strapless bra is probably the biggest necessity, but if your as unprepared as I was, that wasn’t on my initial dress shopping packing list either 🙂 As far as questions, there shouldn’t be too many in addition to the information they give you about the dress. However, the designer of my dress also made a ‘petite’ style which was 3 inches shorter than the normal dress length… this may be one question to ask as it saves a lot of money in alterations. Also asking about the alternative colors the dress comes in as well is really the only questions I can think of!
Just have fun and enjoy! My dress was the 4th dress I had ever tried on. You never know if it will be the first, fourth or 30th dress you end up trying on. Just enjoy the experience!!
