I’m not sure what I’m looking at, I only see one line. But if your doctor is concerned, do what he says. It will all work out. Keep us posted!

This happened to me and while getting the IUD taken out i miscarried (It was still really early and I was in to much shock to really be sad at the time) But It does happen. Just take a deep breath. if you are pregnant they will take out your iud and go from there.

I am here if you need to talk vent or anything you can PM all the time I get notifications of them on my phone so I can write back ASAP!

I’m sorry you’re going through this!  My good friend got pregnant a year ago with her IUD in and had it removed ASAP and her baby was fine (and is now 6 months old).

I actually just took care of a patient the other day (I’m a Labor and Delivery nurse) and she carried to term with the IUD still in place.  The Dr found it in the placenta after she delivered.

Sorry but I don’t see a second line, but there have been other pics on WB in which I cannot see a line & other bees swear they do.

Where is the line supposed to be? On the right of the first, right?

Anyways, good luck with everything, I just got pregnant by surprise and I know what a shock it can be..

@MaggieF:  on the right.

I see a faint line only because ive been through this (getting a positive with an extremely faint line). I’m almost 5 months along now lol so congratulations:) blessings come when they come sometimes! Despite careful planning;)

I know someone who has gotten pregnant a few times (yes, few) with her IUD in and ended up miscarrying. She doesn’t think her IUD is in correctly, but refuses to go to the doctor. Another story there. I’m so so glad you did the right thing and went to the doctor right away to confirm or deny it. As it was said by a PP, it can happen that a baby can be carried to term with it in, but I’d just worry!

For now all you can do is go for the u/s and see what happens. He likely wants to make sure there is not an ectopic concern as well.

There could be lots of reasons for different results from your test to theirs (chemical pregnancy, ectopic, testing too early, not checking the pregnancy test soon enough after the test and leaving an evaporation line (if you check outside window you can get that line though you said you checked a couple minutes later), differing levels of hormones in urine due to hydration levels, etc). Whatever it is, I hope they figure it out soon, and you can decide what you want to do from here, whatever that is.

You are diligent for testing every month! I have an IUD but have not really had to worry yet in 7 years and have never tested during it as I am very regular. Getting pregnant would not be a happy surprise for me so I am glad it has been reliable so far.

Whichever way would be “good news” for you is the way I hope it goes for you!

I would suspect it is an evaporation line.  Test tomorrow with FMU.

I have a good friend who had a baby and was using IUD. She is actually pregnant again and was using an IUD.
