I am on the Mirena. I actually just got it replaced after 5 years last week. I didn’t really have a cycle? I occasionally got spotting for a day or two. Half the time I didn’t even need a pantyliner. It would appear every few months, so I never really charted it.

I lost my period altogether except for some random spotting.

ajillity81 :  Not sure if this is relevant because I have the Paragard (non-hormonal). My cycles are super long, usually around 35 days. But they are like clockwork and didn’t take any time to regulate because it’s non-hormonal. However my periods are very heavy and long which kind of sucks. I kind of wish I had gotten the Mirena because of that, but Paragard lasts for 10 years so I decided to go with that one.

ajillity81 :  I had no cycle to speak of. 0. Just got mine removed yesterday and looking forward to normalcy.

I got my new Mirena (2nd one) in August of 2018, and while I bled heavily directly after, I only had one more period and haven’t bled since September 2018 🙂 I’m grateful, because before this, mine were incredibly heavy for 7-8 days, irregular, and sometimes occured every other week rather than every 3-4 like “normal”.

I just had my mirena replaced in July. I spotted for a day after the insertion, but went back to 0 periods. Pretty similar as my first 5 years.

I have Kyleena. It was inserted August 2017. In the beginning my cycles were like 80 something days. Now they are around 30 but it’s super light and it goes for around a week.

With the first one periods stopped completely. With the second one it was about 28 days.

I’m on year 7 of my merina (second one). I used to have heavy periods every ~32 days. Now I don’t have any but my breasts get tender like during pms more frequently. Maybe 25-28 days?

ajillity81 :  She’s on her third one, and it’s been the same with all three. She doesn’t want more kids, and husband won’t have a vasectomy, so she just tolerates it I guess. It’s just different for everyone, and she sees it as less of a hassle than a new born would be lol.
