This reminded me of a situation a few years ago. I was doing work experience in a primary school, and one day a kid of about 6 asked me if I was pregnant (I am a curvier woman). I said, no, I’m just fat. He then looked at me straight in the eyes and said, well then, you should go to slimming world, and walked off. I was so stunned, but I laugh so much at it now!

Before I was married a co worker congratulated me on my pregnancy…. it was merely a food baby :-/ I owe her thanks really as it definitely spurred me on to lose my excess weight! I can laugh about it now… just! Since I’ve been married yes, I hear the “B-Word” a lot, it’s a bit intimidating as I’ve never been pregnant and we’ve never tried for a baby so who knows what’s going to happen? It’s scary enough without the weight of everyone else’s expectations planted on your shoulders! My husband never hears it unless he’s with me, maybe it’s an issue for women? I don’t know. It gets on my nerves.
