Wow this is exciting! I remember our PMs about our jobs and educational background, so I know how hard it is to find a job!

I’ve recently applied to a job/PhD position too, keep your fingers crossed.

I’ll keep mine crossed for you of course!

How was the interview?

@Oxfordnerd:  Exciting!!! Sending good vibes your way.. waiting is the worst!! If it’s not being too nosy, what sort of field are you in?

@Oxfordnerd:  Wow, that’s awesome! I love hearing about people who work in fields that seem so completely different from myself!

I’m still a student (sigh)… I have a BA in Research Psychology, and then did a 180 and I’m studying to be a Registered Massage Therapist… a 3 year program, and I still have 2 semesters to go! Can’t wait to join the real world and start working!

Any news Oxfordnerd?

I had my PhD interview today. Sooooo nervous! I think it went rather well. They were impressed with my preparation and joked I could start tomorrow. Well, I guess that’s a compliment right, even though it was a joke. It was a good balance between formality/informality. The only downside was that I was so nervous in the beginnen so I stammered a lot and now I fear I haven’t showed my knowledge and skills enough.

But I guess we’ll see and overall it was a good interview!
