Some of you probably saw my posts about being indecisive between a classic round solitaire vs a halo.
Well, bees, today my bf took me to a jeweler to try both kinds on again to help me make up my mind.
I’ve decided on a 0.9-1ct round solitaire with a plain band and I’M SO EXCITED FOR IT!!!! I decided on the solitaire because the diamond would be bigger, but it’s still so simple and elegant — just my style. After trying on the halos, I still really really wanted the halo, but it just wasn’t me.
My bf is buying my ring soon, but please DO POST your 0.9-1.0ct round solitaires for me to look at while I wait for mine. 😀 😀 Btw, I’m a ring size 5. Please post your ring size as well. AND if you have any profile views, that’d be great to look at, too!!
THANKS and thanks for all your input on my previous posts!
By the way, any preference on 4prong vs 6 prong? To me, there isn’t much difference except the 4 prong is like $20 cheaper…?

He is my ring! My center stone is a 1.74 diamond with real sapphires. I love the look of a round diamond!

starrynight898: YW!! :). I didnt realize you wanted to see something larger. A 1ct on your finger is going to be NICE!!!!!
here is a slight side view. I wish i would habe taken a better shot of it. There are two teeny tiny diamonds in the band.

I’m glad you chose the solitaire! I think they are so timeless. Regarding the prongs, I prefer 6 prong due to 4 prong sometimes giving the illusion of a more rounded square instead of round, if that makes sense.

My one carat round brilliant diamond solitaire, in 14 k white gold, size 5.5, 6 prong setting. I love itas is, but do plan to change the setting sometime in the future, finances permitting . I want a thicker band that tapers, and 4 prongs, instead of 6, or maybe something even fancier, who knows?

Here’s a close up for you as well.

Sorry for the blurry profile picture, it’s the only one I’ve got right now .

My plain band solitaire is a .65 on a 6.5 finger but I came in to say that I personally prefer 4prongs….a cleaner look imo
