…into peacock madness! My Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are a BEAUTIFUL ice blue/tealish color. I was afraid at first that if I kept up with the color of the dresses throughout the whole wedding theme it would look like a circus. UNTIL I realized I could have all my color and not sacrifice the elegance with a peacock-ish theme! So if anyone has idea, photos, ect that they would share , that would be awesome! I was also wondering if i had peacock blue table covers, will the ivory satin chair covers clash?

I love peacock, I’m doing it as well, but it’s mostly a focus on the colors and not on feathers galore. I can see the ‘make it stop’ point of view, but if it’s done tastefully and in small accents, I’m all about it!
I don’t think the blue/ivory would clash, but depending on how many tables, that can be a LOT of blue. Would using mostly ivory and then having colored sashes and napkins be too different from your vision?

I like focusing less on the actual feathers and more on the colors. Not to say that you can’t have feathers at all! But I’ve seen some pictures of wedding that definitely were just missing a few more animals to be a zoo/circus.
I feel the same way about any pattern — animal print or even damask, having more of a focus on accent or main colors rather than overdoing the pattern always works in my book!

@indibee: Thats what i’m trying to go for, my Fiance also made a point to tell me he didn’t want a bunch of feathers laying ariound the venue like central park ! (: I was mostly drawn to the colors in the feathers rather then the feathers itself LOL. I have about 15 tables, give or take a few, and i don’t have a clue how all that blue will look but I figured the ivory would be too boring..i’m trying to find pictures but all of the same things come up!
