I think…… Well it’s paid for at least.
So being thaget he wedding is in 40 days- I guess we can rightfully say I’ve got my wedding dress, right?
ive been to every store in the area. TWICE. Sometimes 3 ! Tried on every sihouette & shade of WHITE. I noticed that no matter what the dress style was, if it was white, I was automatically turned off By it…..
ive been imagining an ivory or very light champagne colored lace dress with a has a vintage feel to it. A dropped waist, mermaid silhouette….so it hugs my curves enough to feel sexy And some flowy tulle with a lscalloped lace trim & a chapel or cathedral train. That ideal has been hard to find. The only one that came close was Enzoani Dakota. Which I almost bought for a steal second hand. But haven’t had the time or money to travel to the store (3hrs away) to try it on to be sure. I was definitely very hopeful & was 2 days away from a trip tI try it on.
I also fell in love with the unique look of Monique Lhullier Candy dress in blush. It was obviously way out of my budget x10. I searched but could not find one close to what I was able to pay. So I let that idea go.
Today, I decided to give it a shot and go back to Davids bridal & try on all the dresses I didn’t try on before. GOOD THING I DID! Galina Signature has a new (tester) dress out in select stores that will be available for Fall2013. It’s a WHISPER PINK/gold fit n flare gown with a chapel train. And gold/clear beading. This dress reminds me of the Monique Lhullier Candy gown. The second I saw it I loved it. So there ya have it. I will post pictures and a style# soon.
FINALLY. I WONT GET THE SCARED LOOKS OF WOMEN WHEN THEY ASK ME WHAT MY DRESS LOOKS LIKE & I TELL THEM I DON’T Hve a dress yet!!!!
i am more happy I don’t have to hear my family nagging about the damn thing, than getting the dress. (though maybe subconsciously that’s why I chose it. Ha, either way- oh well)
cheers

@Liverloverr27: When I was reading your post the closest dress that came to my mind was the maggie sottero margot in the french vanilla color. I thought that was going to be my dress but it was too hard to find. I finally found it on preownedweddingdresses.com but it was too late by that time.

That is a beautiful dress and you look amazing. So you weren’t able to purchase it because it won’t be ready in time for your wedding, or you were able to buy it? Either way, I hope you end up with a dress that you love! Also, don’t worry about it not having lace — it is absolutely stunning and you look great in it!

@lindseyl06: Yeah, I know what you mean, I actually JUST found one (online) that is perfect. Its Maggie Sottero as well & its called Marianne, for the Fall 2013 line
Its ABSOLUTELY what I had pictured my wedding dress to be….sweetheart neckline, fitted, dropped waist bodice IN LACE and tulle mermaid/trumpit skirt with lace scalloped…and in an ice pink color to top it off.
But im pretty sure even if i found a place that sells it, and they carry my size- that it would be about 700-1000 out of my price range.
