i’m trying the waiting thing but i’ve been waiting for damn near 1 year now and i’m starting to get really really frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its getting harder and harder everyday to not get worked up about it and i’m trying to just roll with it. Its just really hard knowing its going to happen at some point, i kinda wish it would just happen so it would be off my mind everyday and i could start thinking about other things.

I feel like that’s the best way to do it.  My fiance had my engagement ring for about 8 months until he proposed to me . . . and I knew he had the ring the whole time . . . and it drove me crazy.  After months of emailing friends obsessively, crying on ladies nights and spending a full month upset and disappointed, I decided to let it go.  I forced myself to stop thinking about his proposal and just enjoy being together.

Once I let go, everything was just better and he proposed.  All this time, he had an exact plan in mind as to how he was going to propose.  He wasn’t holding off for any other reason than that he wanted it to happen at a specific time in a specific place.

Trust me, the wait is so much easier and happier once you stop waiting and obsessing and stop allowing yourself to be disappointed every moment that it doesn’t happen.

Good luck to you all!

Just waiting it out is the best idea.  Trust me… if you mention getting married or something else like that it will make him want to wait longer.

When I stopped talking about it and just let it roll, my Fiance proposed within 2 months.

I know that everyone wants to start planning their wedding and start doing it… choose the colors and start looking at dresses and flowers (online)… he doesn’t have to know that you are doing it.
