YogaMama :  Its a vaginal progesterone.  I got a 30 day supply so I guess I’m taking it for at least until the heartbeat.

MrsBG :  as well as the PIO? That’s a lot!

I figure as long as it’s safe and helping, I’ll take whatever they tell me to for however long! Haha

niki1983 :  My lining looked good so we are set for Tuesday.  They don’t schedule the time until Monday though.  I am going in tomorrow to sign the paperwork.  I’m excited.  The time is going so fast.  I’m worried about how I’ll survive the TWW.  I’m guessing that won’t go so quickly.

YogaMama :  They didn’t say why.  Have you ever given yourself a PIO?  My husband will be gone this Sunday when I need to take it, so I either have to do it myself, take it 2ish hours late, or find someone else.  What do you think?

MrsBG :  Yup I do it by myself every night! My clinic accidentally gave me the fatter syringes (10 ml instead of 3 I think?) and then I couldn’t physically do it myself, they were too large and stiff. So I swapped them out for the thinner ones again. My nurse told me to think of it as dividing your glute into 4 sections, and aiming for the upper left (on the left) and the upper right (on the right). So it’s almost more in the hip area which means it’s more accessible when doing it yourself.  It doesn’t hurt very much, but ironically, the couple times my husband has ‘helped me out’ he has hit a blood vessel or something which has made a huge mess. Doing it myself has been fine 🙂

YogaMama :  Interesting. I guess I’ll give it a whirl.  Tonight is my first PIO injection. I’ll probably have him do it and just watch for today.  The needles look thick. surprised

YogaMama :  I was initially only on PIO, but my progesterone came back lower than they wanted (around 15, and they want 20+) at 2 of my betas, so they added it then.

MrsBG :  I’ve done all of my injections too. I honestly prefer the PIO over the tummy stims.  You’ll do great!

MrsBG :  You’ll do great! I have the faith 🙂

soontobemrs1011 :  Oh I see! They never told me my progesterone levels at any of my betas so I guess it must have been okay. Thank goodness for all the support! How are you feeling?

YogaMama :  I’m feeling great!  I’m 8+4 today.  I had my 1st appt w/ my OB last week, and little one was still measuring 2 days behind, but had the cutest little heartbeat flickering away.  Next appt is the 21st and NT scan on 26th.  I’ve been very lucky to not have any “morning sickness” nausea.  An empty stomach bothers me more now, so I keep crackers and protein bars nearby.  I sometimes get crampy, which I’m sure is from things expanding in there.  How have you been feeling?

soontobemrs1011 :  that’s great!  So amazing to see that baby growing in there isn’t it?

I’m kind of the same as you, nausea off and on and usually if I have an empty stomach. I am having pretty major food aversions (chicken mostly) which was the same as when I was having my son. The tiredness comes and goes. This week was better than the last couple for fatigue!

My NT scan is also on the 26th! Isn’t that funny!

niki1983 :  Yikes!  At least he knows so it isn’t totally weird and we know the meds are working!  Are you having a hard time focusing at work?  I feel like I don’t want to do anything but relax and think happy pregnancy thoughts.  I am struggling to keep up at work.  I just dont’ have the motivation/energy.
